DO’s & Don’t for Students
Attend classes regularly
You will always learn something interesting in class especially regarding what you will need to know for your exam and in addition, if you regularly attend and participate in class, you will show interest and you will demonstrate that you are a serious and genuine student.
Taking Notes in Class
Your memory will fade very quickly so it is extremely important that you will take notes while your teacher is giving a lesson. Without good notes you might not have anything to prepare you for the final exam.
Always ask questions in class if you do not understand something: raise your hand and ask questions. The more questions you ask the more answers you’ll get and the smarter you’ll be. There is a great difference between knowing a thing and understanding it and if you want to succeed you will need to understand what you are studying.
Bring in the Right Equipment
Make sure you are bringing the right and necessary equipment for your lessons, e.g. rulers and calculators for maths. You don’t want to be turning up without the right equipment because even though some teachers may provide one or two things what would happen if the whole class didn’t bring anything? Many would go without and wouldn’t be able to learn to the full extent so it is important you have the right stuff for the right subject!
Reviewing & Revise Daily
Do your homework first and make sure not to rush on your homework and always do what is asked of you. Review your notes daily and make a daily routine for yourself and try not to get off track. Whatever subject you are reviewing make sure to also revise your work as to not forget how do to it in the future.
Clear off your desk and increase your productivity. When you do your homework, make sure you do it in a quiet place with little distractions: turn off your mobile phone and make sure that only the necessary study supplies are within reach.
A good and successful student is a person who learns everyday and try as hard as he can to gain knowledge and experience and remember that success happens most often to people who will not allow themselves to become discouraged.
Not attending when you’re supposed to be at your lesson will not only hinder your learning but we need to make sure you’re safe and know where you are. There is no good from ever skipping class. Don’t do it
